These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Jumpstart Newtab and Jumpstart Search browser extensions (together, the "Extensions") and the website jumpstarthome.com (the "Site"). By installing an Extension or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not install or use them.

1. The service

Both Extensions are provided free of charge for personal use. Each works independently; installing one never requires installing the other.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extensions for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the Extensions except where permitted by applicable law.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Extensions or Site to violate any law, infringe anyone's rights, or attempt to interfere with, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to any service or network.

4. Browser settings

The Extensions change browser behavior in clearly disclosed ways: Jumpstart Newtab overrides the new-tab page, and Jumpstart Search sets the default search engine. Both changes are fully reversible at any time — uninstall the Extension and your browser's previous settings are restored.

5. Third-party services

The Extensions rely on third-party services we do not control, including Yahoo Search (search results and suggestions) and Open-Meteo (weather data). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of third-party services.

6. Intellectual property

The Jumpstart name, logo, Extensions, Site design and all related content are our property or that of our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you no rights to our trademarks or branding.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Extensions and Site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Extensions will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Extensions or Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Extensions — which, as they are free, is zero.

9. Updates and termination

We may update, modify or discontinue the Extensions or Site at any time, with or without notice. Extension updates are delivered automatically through the Chrome Web Store. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the Extensions.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extensions or Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
